Presentation Skills Training - Provisional Course Outline

All outlines can be adapted to the needs of the individual or organisation

 

Aims of the course

 

The aim of the course is to provide delegates with the skills necessary to give effective presentations.

 

Course Objectives

 

By the end of the course, learners will be able to:

Ø   Identify their audience and their purpose

Ø   Create objectives for a presentation

Ø   Structure a presentation

Ø   Demonstrate the platform skills required to give an effective presentation which has a real impact on their audience

Ø   Handle nerves

Ø   Design and use visual aids

Ø   Handle questions effectively

Ø   Evaluate the effectiveness of their performance with the use of constructive feedback

 

How the course is run - This one/two day instructor-led course has an interactive approach, with plenty of opportunity for delegates to practise the new skills they learn. All delegates will be expected to give a presentation.

 

Pre-requisites – Participants should bring with them material that could be used to prepare a short presentation. This may, or may not be, work-related.

PUBLIC SPEAKING AND PRESENTATION TECHNIQUES SEMINAR

However often you have made a speech you have made a speech or given a presentation, there is always an opportunity to polish your performance and give your company the edge. This workshop is designed to help you achieve that goal, to perfect your work, and exploit the possibilities to the full.

The workshop combines the talent of two experts, Janet Donbavand and Margaret Squire. Janet can give you all the technical know-how of presentations and Margaret can teach you how to use your voice to put your message across.
